It definitely has been a busy few days for the Scorpions; the San Antonio club signed Marvin Chavez, who played for the Honduran National Team that played in the 2014 World Cup in Brazil. There had been rumors swirling around that Chavez would join the Scorpions.
The most recent news came when Dan McCarney of the SA Express News tweeted out that he saw him at practice on Wednesday.
Chavez is a former MLS All-Star when he played for San Jose in 2012. He last played for Chivas USA, the now defunct MLS team. He will bring a ton of experience to the team and should make an immediate impact. Not many, if any, other NASL teams can boast that they have talent that has played at the World Cup level.
It may have been a slow start to the off-season, but the Scorpions have certainly picked up steam here in the last two weeks. It should be a great game on Saturday when we put together all this talent against a top MLS club in F.C. Dallas.

UPDATE: Here is Chavez breaking ankles.
